A Thank you Message from Nick Bryer, Director of Oxjam Music Festival

To all who participated in Oxjam Chorleywood 2011, Musicians, Artists, Team Oxjam and Chorleywood Village,

To everyone who has played a part in Oxjam Chorleywood this year, I most of all just want to say a huge thank you. The amount of money that you've raised is incredible - very few other groups of volunteers have ever raised more for Oxjam, and those that have have been in much bigger towns or cities. As well as having done an amazing thing for your local community, you should also take pride in the knowledge that thousands of lives will be changed because of the money you've raised.

Personally, I feel particularly inspired by what you've done, because I think it shows Oxjam at its finest. A whole community really coming together, united by music, showing incredible determination, creativity, generosity, and passion, and achieving so much.

For our part, we promise to make good use of every penny you've raised, spending it where it's needed most across the world.

So, once again, thank you and congratulations. I hope that many of you will continue to be involved with Oxjam in the future, and with Oxfam more broadly. I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it along to any of your events this year, but I'll do my best to come to some if they happen again in 2012.

Many thanks,

Nick

Welcome to Oxjam Chorleywood - the home of Chorleywood's music festival

Welcome to Oxjam Chorleywood, thank you for finding us and coming to say hello. Our Mission is to have a series of music events throughout September and October that raise money for Oxfam.

So what is Oxjam and why should you get involved with the music festival? This video will explain a little of what it's all about:

What motivates team Oxjam Chorleywood?  Kristin Davis (Charlotte from Sex and the city) was recently on #BBC Breakfast and talked about what is happening in East Africa right now. Check out this link to see first hand and where your money will go that is raised through Oxjam: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-14105080 .

Here at the website we will give you all the up to date news, listings, ticket sales information and everthing you need to know about how to participate in the music festival.

We can also be found on Facebook and Twitter and soon to be activated "We got Tickets" website for all ticket sales.

The majority of ticket sales will be electronic but we will have some for sale at Chorleywood book shop in Chorleywood. If you would like to speak to a friendly person in the office please call Oxjam HQ on (+44) 01923 284468. If no one is manning the hot line, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

If you would like to donate some of your hard earned cash we would love you to visit our Just Giving Page here: Just Giving or click on the blue button on the right hand side. If you are a mobile phone kind of person and prefer to text why not give us £2 and text 70070 and put the code "OXCW66 £2" in your message.

Oxfam appreciates every single pound you donate

Thank you and looking forward to an amazing festival full of Art and Music and lots of fun.
